Need for cutting a double channel into welt insole or for cutting a single channel for vertical welt shoes abd chamfering the upper edge of the insole. The inner channel can be slashed during the channeling operation if desired to facilitate the lip turning operation. The new stationary knife head permits channeling of thin insole material, even very stiff material or insole having pointed toes or angular foreparts can be processed with ease without damaging the work.
